A brief note on our guild and raiding

Well I finally bit the bullet and organised our first Cataclysm raid evening. We downed Magmaw, and I am sure that a ton of people could tell me this is nothing impressive they have raided firelands blah blah

But here goes - we're a small role play guild. We're a friendly guild and we don't enforce gear, roles or anything else on to the guild members. On Friday there were ten people on, ten people went. We didn't have the best gear, we weren't amazingly geared up but we were determined.

Those of us that could overgear the raid filled in the bits that others could not. Those that would normally have been outright refused a place were not in fear of that. So okay we only went to one boss, it took a few hours and we didn't manage to faceroll it but you know h0w much more rewarding it was?

It meant OUR friends, OUR fun and OUR evening was spent very damned pleasantly. Magmaw was downed, we had people that had never gone to raids at the right level enjoying it and tonight we're going to try again.

So here's to the undergeared, underappreciated value of damn good team work and friends.
