Holidays and lore lawyers

I couldn't be happier! A whole week off to myself to clean up the house, sort out my shit and happily game. Of course I also have some art work to finish, writing to sort. I am happy to get my ass in gear and get on with it. This could be the start of something good... well let's see.

WOW updates... Embers has been slowly growing and all by word of mouth and happiness. I am so proud that everyone in my guild is a nice person and helpful to one another. When we set out to make a guild it was complete reluctance on my part to dedicate more time to something I may not be able to do, however my partner and friends are very supportive.

I am addicted to alts on the game, because I love making stories for them. Sitting at work listening to customers complain is pretty damned stressful so when I get home gaming is a great escape. Not to mention it means I get to think about my ideas whilst sat there listening to someone tell me how inadequate I am without ever having met me.

I won't put his name on this blog but I will tell you that those who know me are gonna either roll their eyes or giggle. Let us refer to him for now as "CO" like Carbon Monoxide he is a poison to the role play server.

CO has decided that he is there for one purpose - "to enforce role play" but he seems to have lost the plot with it. Role players all have their own ideas of things, their own plans for their own characters. Sometimes those ideas and those stories are not completely Canon to the game. Well? Does it REALLY affect you? I mean look at the facts, it's not physically going to harm you, it's not breaking and real life laws and it's NOT going to be a problem if you never interact and role play with them right?

Not to CO our local friendly poisoner, he spends his day around the city of Stormwind waiting for people to role play in a way he doesn't like then tells them. He reports the smilies, OOC chat and then starts a war about general. At the end of the day he single handedly ends up bringing the city role play to a stand still and the irony is he thinks everyone is wrong but him.

Now I have a basic easy rule, if someone is out of character and it's a disruptive level simply put them on ignore, raise a ticket if it is offensive. I simply cannot work out how CO thinks it's productive to be disruptive but having said that... CO is now neutralised and my poison has been cleansed thanks to another burst of /ignore

And now... I shall head off and carry on with my cleaning!
